Molding Dough

Ingredients for this non-toxic and safe molding dough can be found in most kitchen cupboards. Have an adult cook it up for the youngsters and allow it to cool to warm before playing. Add food coloring if colored dough is desired.

Materials Needed:
2 cups flour
1 cup table salt
2 cups water
5 teaspoons cream of tartar
cookie cutters
rolling pin

Directions:
1.Combine first four ingredients in heavy pan.
2. Cook over medium heat, stir constantly.
3. Remove from heat when mixture pulls away from the edge of pan.
4. Cool, then knead mixture for several minutes before play.
5. Use cookie cutters and rolling pin for molding dough play!
6. When finished, store in air tight container for another day's play.
