Shell Frame

With the weather warming up, chances are, some of you might be visiting the beach. If you collect some shells while there, exactly what do you plan to do with them when you get home? One idea is to create a fanciful shell frame.

Materials Needed:
Assortment sea shells (enough to fit around the perimeter of the mirror)
White glue
Newspaper
Paintbrush
Unframed mirror
Varnish
Picture hook

Directions:
Begin by cleaning and thoroughly drying the shells. Glue the shells around the border of the mirror. Arrange the shells in such a manner that those which are cracked or chipped, are hidden beneath the more pretty shells. When you have finished the border allow the glue to dry. After the glue dries, varnish the shells to bring out their color, but be careful not to get varnish on the mirror.

When your mirror is finished, add the picture hook and hang.
