Glitter Word or Picture

When the child in your care is having a problem learning to spell a particular word, this project can be a fun way for him or her to see the word in a new way.

Materials Needed:
Newspaper
Piece of paper
Glue stick
Glitter

Directions:
1. Spread a sheet of newspaper on the table.

2. Lay a piece of paper on the newspaper.

3. Use the glue stick to draw the word (or a picture) on the paper.

4. Sprinkle glitter over glue until covered.

5. Gently lift the edges of the paper and tip from side to side, so that the glue is totally glitter covered.

6. Tip the paper so the excess glitter falls onto the newspaper.

7. Carefully gather up the two sides of the newspaper and return the excess glitter to its container, for another day's use.
